WhatsApp Will Soon Add Individual Chat Security Features
Currently, many users are using unauthentic apps similar to WhatsApp, which are not unsecured. The unauthentic app can track users’ activity and even steal their data (baking details, user chats, contact details, etc.)
WhatsApp has already given users an end-to-end encryption feature for user safety; there’s also a fingerprint lock, passcode, and face recognition lock. And we often mark our chat in the archived chat, but still, anyone can check or read our messages.
WhatsApp currently does not provide individual chat locks. It’s sometimes complicated for users’ privacy; they can not hide chats or lock their conversations.
Lock individual WhatsApp Chats with Fingerprint or Passcode
WABetaInfo shared some thoughts on the “Chat Lock” features in Whatsapp.
WABetaInfo: “If anyone tries to access your WhatsApp locked chat or hidden chat and fails to provide the necessary authentication, they will be prompted to clear the chat to open it.”
So that means no one can bypass security; if someone tries to do this, chat can clear or lock WhatsApp, which is impossible to access without necessary authentication.
This feature is not live yet and is not on beta builds. Although it is still in development, WhatsApp will soon reveal that this feature will be available for testing on Android and iOS versions.
